Sustainable vs. regenerative travel

Sustainable travel aims to preserve the planets natural resources and minimize the environmental impacts of tourism. The primary beneficiary of tourist dollars should be local businesses.

Regenerative travel is picking up steam, as simply trying to not harm a location isn’t good enough. We should all be actively working to improve an area.

Don’t just focus on leaving lighter footprints but making a bigger impact in the local communities that serve tourism.

  • Eat local
  • Shop local
  • Drink local
  • Plant trees
  • Grow your own food
  • Recycle
  • Use refillable water bottles & not get sucked into plastic
  • Cover 100% of your carbon emissions

Love adventure travel, work hard & play hard, happy in both extremes - relaxing on a remote beach or rappelling down cliffs, take joy in simple things, love being on & near the water, visited 55 countries & 47 states so far in this crazy beautiful life! Goals by my 50th birthday - 50 states. 75 countries. 50 national parks. Be in Antarctica on my big day.
